AGNITAS E-Marketing Manager 2011 R3: Many new features focusing on mobile marketing

Munich, December 12, 2011. Newsletters are often tailored for display on desktop PCs and neglect the ever-growing group of mobile terminals. It is therefore no surprise that the average click rates on smartphones, tablet PCs and similar are considerably lower than those for standard PCs. Newsletters can, however, now be specially created for mobile terminals with the new EMM 2011 R3 (Release 3) version of E-Marketing Manager. Complementing this, EMM 2011 R3 offers a completely reworked mailing statistics section that shows important key indicators separately for mobile terminals and desktop PCs, thus giving a better overview of user behavior.

A smaller display, changing light conditions, operation by touchscreen and a different usage behavior – these are several of the most important aspects that senders must consider if they want their customers to also be able to conveniently read newsletters on mobile terminals. EMM 2011 R3 supports you in this task with an HTML version modified to suit mobile terminals. If the recipient clicks a link to display the newsletter in the web browser, EMM automatically recognizes whether the newsletter is being called up by a conventional computer or by a smartphone and adjusts the displayed data to fit the device. In addition, EMM now displays the share of mobile terminals in the mailing statistics. The summarized mobile proportion of openings and clicks is shown in a separate diagram, and the mobile share over time can also be followed.

E-Marketing Manager now also stores information on the social networks to which a recipient belongs. This address data can in its turn be used to set up target groups and for actively linking channels.

In addition to the mobile and social media functions, EMM 2011 R3 brings many other new features and improvements in all program areas, for example for mailing and recipients. EMM can now simulate a preview without images for every mailing and thus permit mailings to be optimized for those mail clients that suppress images in HTML e-mails as standard. Moreover, an action can be associated with every mailing that is executed when the recipient opens or clicks it. An already existing HTML version of a mailing can now be converted to a text version at the press of a button and the HTML Editor replaces special characters automatically with the correct HTML notation. An Expert mode that can be activated or deactivated and finer graduations of user rights are now also included in the functional scope of EMM. With the aid of AGNITAS Support, users can additionally select complex forms of address for the recipients of the mailing and, for example, address them in different script-driven languages.
